Innovative Workforce Solutions: Housing, Ron Wild and Billie Kirkham
Understanding there are many workforce issues throughout the state the Wyoming Workforce Development Council released a request for proposals following the 2007 Summit seeking to partner with employers in formulating innovative solutions to combat these issues. Two housing projects were funded, Fremont County Housing Assessment and The Face of Workforce Housing. Join these grantees for a discussion of their implementation, successes, and best practices.

How and Why a Culture of Aging is Good for Business, Dawn Malone
With increased life expectancies and increased personal expectations of the future, workers are not ready for retirement. Among the newest tools organization are using to nurture this generation of workers: phased retirement, flexible arrangements and a variety of programs that promote civic engagement, cognitive fitness, financial literacy, intergenerational learning and creativity. During this session Bon Secours Richmond Health System will share nationally recognized practices that foster work environments that celebrate the diversity of aging.

The Department of Workforce Services' Administrators of the Business Training & Outreach, Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Services Divisions will provide information about the services and resources available to businesses and job seekers.

GEN Y @ Work: An Insider's Guide to Retaining and Motivating Generation Y Employees, Jason Ryan Dorsey
Jason Ryan Dorsey cuts through the stereotypes to teach managers and executives exactly what Generation Y covets at work - and why. He then reveals a step-by-step process and specific actions that employers can immediately adopt to unlock the talent, loyalty, and teamwork of this emerging workforce.

Healthcare: Working with Employers Towards Solutions, Anne Ladd and Mike McCraken
The Wyoming Business Coalition on Health is a new organization dedicated to educating and engaging the business community across the state on issues relating to healthcare financing, cost structure and quality. The main objective is to raise the visibility, viability and sophistication of conversations between employers and those who deliver and influence the delivery of care. Only business leaders - those who are primary decision-makers within their companies, and who do not have to get re-elected - are capable of taking the necessary risks, of pointing out and reversing the perverse incentives in the current system, and of using the power of their pocketbook to force rational and effective system change. The Wyoming Business Coalition on Health invites you to be part of this growing collaborative effort.
